I think because they are not forced to live with 350 other nationalities who form their own gehttos and do not mix freely with them.

tinkernator, treating black people (example) different is not rasicm, it all depends on how you treat them. it’s normal in denmark, that some persons treat these people different, but that does not mean that it’s an offence. sometimes we even treat them better. it’s not rasicm, it’s just a reaction that some danes have.
and the thing about it being hard getting into denmark is some of the things that we must do to hold a high-level wellfare system.
i’ve pointed out some points of what you just said.
1 - “they want your money” - everything in denmark is expensive because we earn minimum 100 danish crowns every hour. that’s about 19 dollars. the costs of staff is bigger in the stores, and the prices are high by that reason.
2 - “some are willing to hold their noses and force a smile as you walk by” you do know, that we are like any other humans? right? we smile because we are happy.
3 - there isn’t many racists in denmark -.-’

Atleast people know its a contry haha… Someone should make a book about Denmark since it seem forgotten by Americans…
You’re missing the point - racism is not just about intention, it’s about action too. Most Danes support very strict laws that make it extremely difficult for anyone to get into Denmark, tourists even. This may not target race deliberately, but most of the affected people happen to not be white. And from personal experience, race does play a big difference in how ordinary Danes treat you. Sorry if that offends you, I cannot change what I see living in Denmark.

Almost all of the news of Theifing and stuff like that in this year has been reported by people not from denmark… we get a bad impression of other people… and that makes some of us racists… but its also the few who ruins it for the manny…

Here’s some advice : dont bother coming to Denmark. Danes don’t want you here at all. They just want your money, though some are willing to hold their noses and force a smile as you walk by. All the stories about Denmark being full of racists is true. It’s also made totally from flat mud - there is no scenery here. Except mud piles. So if you want a great vacation, go to Finland, Norway or Sweden.
